RANT: The world is out to get me today. I swear it. I drive all the way to New Baltimore district court only to find out an hour and a half later the the jail hasn't even started to process prisoners for transport. That whole process takes hours so of course we have to adjourn.

However, Monday is Columbus Day so it has to be this week and since they only have prosecutors on Wed/Thurs. it has to be one of those days. UMMMMMM HELLOOOOOOOO I already have a trial on Wed. and 2 exams in Warren on Thursday plus a pretrial in Dearborn in the afternoon. Now on Thursday I have to try to be in 2 places at once. And this is why I went to law school.

Then I get a call from a client that they're being sued. WTF? We already won this case. You can't just venue shop. sheesh. I've had it with people for today.

Some days I wish I was Dexter!

Mondays suck! Especially Mondays when you get out of bed to cover something for a colleague AND SHE GAVE YOU THE WRONG DATE!!!!!!!!!!!! I could have slept in a bit and came to play with all of you. But nooooo, instead, I'm in court looking like an idiot.

So when I finally untangle the mess, I went shopping. Retail therapy helped a bit. I bought this jacket:


and brown slacks with a matching sleeveless camisole.

And I bought a cheap pantsuit that was on clearance. I'm still cranky. I think maybe, perhaps, just possibly, I need some porn. Can anyone help me?

I'm doing my trial prep for Wednesday like a good little attorney when a HUGE wrench is thrown into the mix.

I can't get into too many specifics, but let's just say that I have to get this trial adjourned for the benefit of my client and I'm not sure I can do it. It's such a MESS.

Otherwise, I might not survive this week!

I had such a great day today until I got home and started to try to clean up all this mess of paperwork from when I was really sick.

Now, I'm cranky and everything is causing me angst. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
