HATING YOU MAKES ME FEEL ALL WARM INSIDE

I can't believe I've only posted like 3 times this month (not including posts in the asylums). I don't think this has ever happened before except for when I first started a journal.

Champ continues to improve. His last test results were so much better and so much closer to the normal range that I cried a little on the way home. Plus, in one week, he gained 13 ounces. So, I've decided to go ahead with my vacation plans (which I sorely need at this point). My sister is planning something special for my 40th and a dear friend is coming into town. After that, we're heading out on a road trip ending in a spa for a couple of days in Vermont. From there, we'll part company and I'll continue on to my sister's for Reason's first birthday. I'll be a few days early, but we're going to celebrate anyway.

I can finally get excited because I found someone to stay with Charger and Champ on top of my sis checking in on them.

I also decided not to cook dinner this year for Thanksgiving. I cheated and bought everything pre-made and I'm so happy about it. I'll have time to do the things I want to do. Happy sigh.

On a fandom note, I want to know something. Tell me a scene that makes you melt. It has to be a scene that causes your heart to skip a beat every single time you watch it. Post about it in your journal...or here in comments. I can't wait to see what you've got for me. :D

So, the other day,

fun_demented inspired a little thought in me and I challenged her to dueling blingees.

She has graciously agreed to spread the idea out into fandom and this morning we settled on the "rules" and the pictures to use. LOL

There is one Brian cap, one Justin cap, and 2 B/J caps.

Celebrating with Xie and Bunny!

It seems that

Several of my friends have been ~~cajoling~~ ~~begging~~ ~~twisting my arm~~ asking me to host another SCAVENGER HUNT. I've been mulling it over and here's what I've decided: I'm interested in doing it. HOWEVER, it will not be as long or as intense as the first one. Plus, I'm going to set some limits. There will still be prizes and teams but I really need to know if people are interested before I commit to such a labor intensive project again. All joking aside, here's a serious poll. :D

~finding teh love...again and again...

I've seen several people talking over the last couple of days about how they feel out of touch with Queer As Folk or a little disconnected.

When this happens to me...and it does happen, more often lately, but there is one thing that ALWAYS brings me back. It's a walk down Nostalgia Lane. I watch 101-103. I never fail to laugh at Michael, Em, and Ted at the bar or swoon over Brian and Justin's first kiss. Let's not forget "Parts Department", the birth of stalker!Justin, or Brian's look at the end of 102. And I challenge you not to laugh when Emmett faints in 102 or feel for Ted when he meets Blake for the first time .Brian licking down Justin's ass makes me DIE and LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE BOY always sends chills coursing through my body.

So I've got a challenge for my entire flist. Go forth and watch 101-103 and soak up the memories and cherish the start of this great show of ours. Then, after, you fall in love all over again, drop by this post and post something...doesn't matter if it's something you never noticed before, your favorite laugh, your favorite scene, a comment about Brian's hair, or Emmett's tangerine pants....just come bask in the nostalgia with me!

I rec'd something at

Does Debbie have a fireplace? I thought about it for a few minutes and really wondered because I remembered all those times in season 3, 4, and 5 when Deb and/or Emmett is watching tv.

tweedygal was kind enough to remind me that the shrine to Michael's father was on a mantle. However, then I started to wonder if that was a faux mantle.
