Hey guys. I've had a week from hell...straight from HELL. I won't bore you all with the details. Instead I'll say that I missed fandom like WOAH. I feel horribly disconnected from you all and I hate that. *sobs* *clings*

The only way I know to show my love and affection these days is to share my gorgeous, ingenious little nephew with you all.

I've been so busy lately that I've barely had time for fandom or anything. I miss you all and I miss playing here. One of the things that has been keeping me occupied on the weekend is some redecorating and with that comes LOTS of cleaning. I got some new furniture and it's been exciting.
( yada yada yada )

Anyway, all this whining brings me to my goal. I want to jump back into fandom fun and I can't think of a better way to do that then by celebrating one of the best seasons and holding a contest. So please, please, please sign up and let's have some good ole fashioned silly fandom fun!

I'm so excited. I'm leaving for Vermont TOMORROW to see Dracula (aka my darling nephew) and my sister.

I CANNOT WAIT. I'm rushing around to finish up court stuff and get the hell out of dodge.

I can't stop thinking about how for the next 4 days, I will be playing with this adorable little guy!

Have I mentioned lately that my new favorite pastime is shopping for my nephew. I should own a piece of TARGET, which can I just say is such a fun place to shop. I picked up some t-shirts for him, a bucket cap (to protect his baby skin from the sun) and some bath toys.

I also picked up a toy for me: Seasons 3 and 4 of ANGEL (2 seasons for $19.99 - see how cool TARGET is. lol).

I was having a great day. I mean, HARPER'S ISLAND starts tonight (please, please, please let it be well done). I haven't been this excited about a tv show in a long. I hope I'm not disappointed but all the hype is typically a bad sign. Anyway, my day took a turn for the FUCK when my dad called me. He was in a car accident. Some idiot ran a stop sign and t-boned his car on the driver's side. He seems fine besides a sore shoulder and a smashed car.

It's time for Auntie Bunny to show off her beautiful, happy nephew again.

My sister wanted me to tell of you that gave her advice or shared your story about breastfeeding thanks and that while there have been some setbacks, things seem to be slowly improving and Reason is now at 9lbs 5oz. :D

Here's the thing, my sister needs some people to talk to about breastfeeding and I don't have any kids, our step-mom is insane, and we're not at all close with our real moms sisters. Bottom line: our family is fucked up.

Plus, my friends all used formula.

Here's the thing: My sister (mommy_to_be) wants to breastfeed and she has some questions about that, nipple shields, feeding patterns, and bottles. You all know that Reason was in the hospital for losing so much weight and that he's doing better now, but he's using a nipple shield and my sis wants to wean him from that but she has some questions.

If anyone has any suggestions or doesn't mind chatting with her, I'd so appreciate it if you'd comment here. She's going to track the post and she'll come in and respond when she can break away from Dracula Reason.

Ugggg, I just need a bitch a minute. Lucky you guys.

I'm so annoyed with clients right now that I am wondering why I even bother sometimes. Two clients (plus my brother but that's a WHOLE other story) didn't show up for court and I had to call them both AND WAIT AN HOUR for them to show the hell up. Come on people, I have more important things to do like play with pictures of my nephew, update files and complete billings (all from waaaay before I went out of town).

Anyway, then they're both nonchalant, like HELLO, I just saved your ass from a bench warrant. ~grrrrrr~

Ok, enough about that. Reason is doing so much better, so I thought I'd share another picture of him.

I've got some great news and can now fill you guys all in on the baby situation.

First, I'm home and a HUGE thank you to everyone who responded to my last post. Watching my nephew being born was a crazy experience (one that reaffirmed my desire to never have children) and we were all so happy.

My nephew, Reason Jon, is the highlight of my life.


However, if you saw Xie's post last week, you know that we had some problems. Unfortunately, Reason went back into the hospital when he was only a week old and he didn't come home until Christmas, in the afternoon. He was there for two full days.

The experience was horrible and terribly distressing. He had lost too much weight and was dehydrated and even after he came home, there were concerns about whether he'd start to gain weight.

As of this afternoon, at 2 weeks old, he seems to be out of the woods completely with a positive outlook from the doctor. I cannot tell you all how happy this makes me. I love him so and I've left a HUGE part of my heart in Vermont. (I fear that you will all be subjected to stories of him from now on...humor me.) :P Leaving was one of the hardest things I ever had to do (but I had to do it because I had a trial yesterday).


Reason is bright eyed and oh so adorable. He and I had some time together before his unforeseen trip to the hospital. We talked about snow and how much fun it can be with the snowmen and snowballs and snowboarding (I threw that in for his Mommy). I sang Christmas songs to him and all kinds of nursery rhymes. We even squeezed in 2 books. He will grow up to be brilliant! He was lifting his head and looking around the day after he was born. He's curious and playful. I love him so so so much.

But, I'm home now and way, way, way behind on all things in my life, including fandom. I cannot even pretend that I will go back and catch up on my flist. Therefore, I need a favor from you guys. If you wrote a story, made icons, etc, or posted something important in your life and I missed it, would you consider leaving me a link to the post? It would help to keep me from feeling so overwhelmed whenever I think of IJ.

After about 28 hours of labor, my nephew graced us with his presence at 9:17 on December 16.

He's the cutest nephew in the world...and I'm not just saying that cuz I'm Auntie Bunny!

He's just beautiful with gorgeous brown eyes and a full head of black hair. He's 8lbs 9 ounces and 22 inches long.

Mommy and Baby are doing fabulous and I'm so excited I can barely stop bouncing.
