sugar and spice I'll kick your butt twice - happy bunnyism

My subject line about sums things up.

Maybe a few of you have noticed that I've been pretty quiet around here lately. I've been extremely busy with work (it's hard to be an adult - snicker). I'm not complaining, it's a good thing both professionally and financially - plus for the most part, I'm enjoying it. However, it drains me and I don't always have energy to come out and play. Also, little things seem to annoy me - and I don't want to take that out on fandom. See, it might surprise some of you, but I'm not a people person and dealing with people all day long sucks the life out of me and makes me impatient. hee

I've also been busy with family and friends it seems. I'm reading original m/m porny treats with some of you. I'm hanging out more with my RL friends (last week, a couple of my closest & oldest friends and I had a movie night. We watched SEX & THE CITY and TWILIGHT (snicker))...we had a blast but after a full work day (they were both off) and a couple of margaritas, I was ready for bed when I got home. And this past weekend, I spent Saturday afternoon and evening at the casino with my dad and sis.

Then, this morning, I got an opinion on my neverending trial that's been going on since MAY. I lost. I didn't really expect to win, the facts were not on our side, but one always hopes.

YADA YADA YADA...so what does this all boil down to? I've no idea. LOL. I'll still be posting at the asylums and playing here and there but I just have less time. BUT...I cannot wait to play in the goodies at

qaf_challenges. This fandom is amazingly talented and I can't wait to drool over everything. It might take me a while to make my way through 100 posts but I will. ;)

OH and HEY...go make some nominations at

iconics!!!!!!!!!!! It's fun!

From all over. It's hard to find really good stuff and I'm extremely picky (go figure LOL). I started with fanfic authors you moved onto original stories. One of my fave authors these days is a fangirl but she prefers her privacy (she's rec'd me a couple of authors) and a couple I've just stumbled across. However, I've also stumbled across some crap. LOL

The reason I asked is one of my favorite authors from another fandom writes original fiction now. I haven't read any of her original stuff although I know some of it started as fic I adored and I'm fairly certain you'd like her writing. She's at Torque if you get any of your fic from there.

She writes as Aaron Michaels. She may be at some other sites too. I can never get Torque's stuff to download on my computer so I gave up on it a long time ago. Like I said I've never read her original work, but her fanfic is some of the best I've read any where. Her stories were always my happy place. I really miss having her in fandom. She's also super sweet.

PS-any bunnies for Babylon drabbles? I'm still making my way through cf entries, but I don't want to miss the challenge and I have no ideas.

Hmmm, how about a drabble set during 411 - the announcement of the liberty ride. We don't see any B/J interaction there but I'm sure they gravitate together at some point.

Crazy busy since forever and so looking forward to surfacing finally at the end of the week.

And bursting at the seams with QAF stuff I want to say and hear and share and do - I'm all inspired and positively yearning to devote an entire day or weekend or week to all things QAF! (And OMG all that CC stuff just waiting to be discovered!) I'll never take for granted that you and the other wonderful members of this community are out there to share this with! ♥

No, I 've decided against it this year. Some people complained that two exchanges are too much, and with the decreasing participation in the summer round it's really difficult to juggle assignments so that everybody gets the gift they want.
I'm actually hoping that with only one chance to participate, a lot more people will sign up for the Christmas exchange *crosses fingers*

I miss you!!! We have been like ships passing in the night lately. I've been so engrossed in CF stuff for the last two days that I feel slightly drunk and definitely bleary-eyed when I finally stop!

I'm glad you're having some RL fun too though! That's always a good thing, even if I do miss you here.

I have tried the m/m stuff twice now. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I'm just not getting into it. *hangs head in shame*
