Have I mentioned lately that my new favorite pastime is shopping for my nephew. I should own a piece of TARGET, which can I just say is such a fun place to shop. I picked up some t-shirts for him, a bucket cap (to protect his baby skin from the sun) and some bath toys.

I also picked up a toy for me: Seasons 3 and 4 of ANGEL (2 seasons for $19.99 - see how cool TARGET is. lol).

I was having a great day. I mean, HARPER'S ISLAND starts tonight (please, please, please let it be well done). I haven't been this excited about a tv show in a long. I hope I'm not disappointed but all the hype is typically a bad sign. Anyway, my day took a turn for the FUCK when my dad called me. He was in a car accident. Some idiot ran a stop sign and t-boned his car on the driver's side. He seems fine besides a sore shoulder and a smashed car.

I'm sorry about your dad. Hope he's feeling OK.

Awesome baby toys! I remember when my best friend got pregnant. I ended up spending a small fortune on baby toys. They were just so much fun to buy that I couldn't stop myself! Luckily she returned the favor a few months later when I was pregnant - and broke. LOL

Spoiled doesn't begin to cover it! She is 9 and told me the other day that I cannot have any more grandkids, and if for some reason I do, they cannot call me by the name she has given me... "G".

She is the light of my life, and I'm thinking a trip to Target is in her near future.

ROFL, that is adorable. My sibs and I used to call my Grandpa Gramps and it was our name for him so I get it completely.

I miss you! My dad is sore but he seems ok.

A bucket hat is one of those hats sort of like a fishing hat, with a brim that goes all the way around. Does that pathetic description help? ROFL

Perfect hat for a baby. Now when he's a rebellious toddler, good luck to mom keeping it on him! lol

I was at a street festival once and it was horribly hot with not a cloud in the sky. A vendor was selling the most ridiculous (but really smart) "hats" I've ever seen. Umbrellas, maybe a foot or so in diameter and instead of a hook at the bottom for a handle, there was a hatband and the sumbrella had prongs attached to the hat band. So basically you wore an umbrella. Brilliant idea, really, but omg. Sooooo stupid looking. And the umbrellas were rainbow colored so it looked like an alternate universe Pride festival of sweaty straight people with no fashion sense sporting rainbow flag umbrella hats.

omg I found a photo! See? What'd I tell you? lol

I miss IJ, too. I can get on to read sometimes, but trying to comment is usually tricky and i time out. Maybe I'm having good luck today because I logged on in the middle of the afternoon? Who knows? ♥
