Have more candy and get comfortable for the tale of my trip. lol Yes, that's a piece of bunny shaped maple candy and I did see the State House. One of these visits, I'm going to find time to head inside to explore.
I brought all the gifts I'd bought Dracula so far, plus a box of books from when Sis and I were kids and a GIGANTIC bag of clothes from a dear friend of mine who had little boy last October. Needless to say, my Sis and I stayed up until almost midnight playing with baby stuff. She was so excited and I was so glad to see her happy.
We spent time shopping for baby stuff and picking out furniture for the nursery. She ended up ordering it online and it's due to start arriving next week. I'm so thrilled for them.
Adding our purchases to the clothes my friend sent, left Dracula's closet looking like this:

Plus, he's got some toys (from me,

However, I've now been banned from purchasing anything else until the baby is born.
Here's my Sis walking her dog in her "backyard".

This is the view from their deck and you can see a little bit of my BIL's garden in the bottom corner.

These are the steps leading to the parking lot:

Yes, YIKES but that's not all of them, then there's these:

I don't know how my sister does it everyday. She's awesome.

This is the creek right next to the parking lot that runs down the mountain near their deck.

We shopped with her Mother-in-law who is super sweet. We had a blast. Here's a few shots I took out the window of my new car. I let the sis drive because I'd had enough driving. lol

Please be sure to note the blurry wildflowers. ROFL

And this one has a funny story. I was showing Sis the pictures later that day and she says, "Why did you take a picture of our gas tank?"
ME: bwahahhahaa...that's not your's.
SIS (laughing): Why take a picture of someone else's?
ME: I didn't mean too but the camera is not fast enough.

We spent tons of time watching DEXTER, season 2 and got her husband hooked so I left season one and two for them to watch before season 3 starts.
Also, her husband and his dad made my Sis this beautiful sweater cabinet:

I told him I wanted one and he said maybe for Christmas. I laughed because the baby is due December 16. Then he said my birthday until he was reminded it's December 6th. ROFL. Then he said, "How about for your 40th birthday." We all (we were at dinner at his parents house) cracked up. It was so cute.
We also decided to host an online shower because my sister really has no time to travel between her work schedule and the due date and doctor appointments. Anyone interested in attending?
It really was a great visit. I was relaxed and so excited to see my sister. We hadn't seen each other since her wedding last year. It gets harder and harder to have her living so far away. *sighs* However, let's not dwell on the negative, it was a great visit and I'd left all my baggage behind and just focused on her, the baby, and us having fun giggling. It was great.
I had a super long drive home but I made it again in 12 hours despite traffic in Toronto and some construction.
Champ
