Fear Mongering makes me sick and tired.

I've been sick of it for 8 years...

I've been disgusted by the manipulative techniques that our President has employed over the course of his time in office, this includes the Terror Alert Levels that have been used to incite fear in this country.

I've been embarrassed by it all.

I've questioned my belief and faith in this country because of it.

I've wanted it all to end.

I didn't think I could feel worse about it until this Primary.

Shame on you Hillary Clinton. Shame on you.

You've made me ashamed to have ever given you the benefit of the doubt.

You've made me ashamed to be a woman in this country. How's that for attacking you on your gender?

She's running a new ad in Pennsylvania that shows images of things to fear...you know what I can't describe it...here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDap46WOCmA

Then she went on COUNTDOWN and spoke about how she'd obliterate Iran if they attacked Israel. I don't want more talk of more war and more fear. I don't like it and it's not necessary, especially right now.

On top of all that, she now is making claims that she's being picked on because of her gender. Well, I'm sorry to tell her that she can fuck off....from one independent woman to another.

And don't even get me started on the backsliding she's doing with respect to some of the statements she's made about how McCain would be a better choice than Obama...

Don't get me started. I was like, "Oh NO YOU DI-INT!!!" this morning.

Plus, PLUS...she wants to nuke Iran. Oh, sorry, she said "obliterate."

She's gonna get us killed.

That's her new fear mongering ad plus her cries of gender foul... there's so much, I can't dwell on it or I might combust.

Um, did I miss something? I haven't been paying attention to politics--or fandom, for that matter--for two weeks. Personal fuck-ass shit. But now I'm back! :)

But, um, what happened with Hillary? I'm kinda scared to ask, seeing as I have a Hillary bumper sticker on my car... :P

I'll tell you what prompted this post and then I have a question.

She's running this ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDap46WOCmA (the 3am ad was bad enough but this is shameful IMO)

She's crying gender foul.

She said yesterday that she'd nuke Iran if they messed with Israel.

She's now claiming she never meant that McCain would be better qualified than Obama, despite saying EXACTLY that several weeks ago.

Those are just the recent things. Now for my question and I promise not to respond and create a HUGE thing....in fact if you want to email me instead, I'm cool with that but please, just tell me why you're supporting her. What has she said/done that makes you a follower? I genuinely would like to know. I didn't hate Hillary Clinton when this all started. There was even a time when I would've been so excited if she won despite my support for Obama, because she was a woman and I admired her for getting there...you know? Now, I can't even look at her because of the way she's run this primary.

See, I voted for Hillary in the California primary on Feb. 5th. It took me a while for me to decide on which candidate to vote for. I looked thoroughly at Obama's and Clinton's issues, researched some more, and realized... they were pretty much the same. Sure, they had some issues that differed, but if they were generalized, it pretty much came down to who was a better-liked candidate. Three months ago, I was leaning more towards Hillary.

I hate it when people tell me that the reason I voted for her was because I'm a woman. I'm also a woman of color. If I voted Obama, people would tell me I support him because I'm colored. I'm not into identity politics. I am not. that. shallow.

She was down here in southern California on Feb. 1, and I went to her convention thingy with an open mind. I came out of that convention a Hillary supporter. I made sure that I didn't support her just because she's a woman.

As the months have gone by, I've noticed her answers to questions are wishy-washy, and I can't stand watching the debates between Obama and Clinton. I don't support her on the fact that she has said that she is pro-Israel. I don't agree with her on that aspect-- at all. I don't agree with her on playing the woman card, but you don't think that Obama played on the race card--at all? I don't really have the respect I had for her a few months ago. But I realized I don't have respect for, really, any politician.

I'm not so much of a Hillary follower. Ultimately, I'm a Democrat. It's pretty much guaranteed that Obama will be getting the nomination. When that happens, I'll be voting for him. Anything's better than a Republican, right?

I promised not to make this a 'thing', so I'm only going to say:

1. thank you for your thoughtful response. I appreciate your honesty. :)

and

2. I hope you didn't think I was implying you only supported her because she was a woman...if it came out that way, I didn't mean for it to. :)

I said the other day that I had emptied my bucket from all the water toting I've done for Bill & Hillary over the years. I truly think she's so caught up in her own myth and position in history & is completely in service to those things she's completely forgotten about true service to the country.

And this imperialistic shit she's touting since the "debate" the other night. Yeah, we're up for bombing anybody who looks cross-eyed at Israel. Has said it at least twice and maybe three times but her campaign guys are saying that's not what she says.

Kinda like when Keith asked her tonight if it wasn't a little disingenuous for her to trumpet that Barack's being McCain's cheerleader when she's touted him multiple times in order to make Barack look unready and she says: "Absolutely not. I didn't say that blah-de-blah-de-blah..." As someone on the LJ Obama comm said, "she lies so sincerely." Damning with faint praise, huh?

I am just disgusted with her. She's run such a shoddy campaign in every way. Poor leadership skills and so arrogant, so certain she's owed this.

I don't think Barack's gonna win tomorrow, but I am so hoping for an upset so this can be OVER and the Dems can concentrate on regrouping and stopping McCain. It's ludicrous that he's anywhere close to tied with either Dem candidate and I blame it entirely on her. So there! ;DD

Yes, I fell hard off her bandwagon then. When that came out, I'd decided to support Obama but I still admired her...now, I'm just ashamed.
